HC Deb 30 March 1961 vol 637 cc165-6W
Mr. Fletcher

asked the Lord Privy Seal whether he will give the necessary instructions to the British delegates to the Assembly of the United Nations to press for a discussion on Sir Leslie Munro's report on the situation in Hungary.

Mr. Heath

The Hungarian question has been inscribed with United Kingdom support on the agenda of the current session of the United Nations General Assembly. When the item is taken by the General Assembly Sir Leslie Munro's report, which has already been circulated in the United Nations, will be available for discussion. I see no need therefore to instruct the United Kingdom delegation in the sense suggested by the hon. Gentleman.
