§ 70. Mr. Emeryasked the Parliamentary Secretary for Science what is the percentage increase or decrease in the number of scientific staff as compared with clerical staff, and what is the turnover in junior personnel, in the Atomic Energy Authority during recent years.
§ Mr. Denzil FreethI am informed by the Atomic Energy Authority that since the beginning of 1957 the scientific staff of the Authority has increased by 60.5 per cent. and the clerical staff by 57.5 per cent. The wastage in both the clerical classes and the Junior Scientific Class has been about 12 per cent. annually in recent years.
