HC Deb 20 March 1961 vol 637 c11W
94. Mr. C. Johnson

asked the Minister of Aviation whether the Air Transport Licensing Board has started its public hearings; how many applications for air service licences have been received; and when he expects to appoint a chairman of the board.

Mr. Thorneycroft

The Air Transport Licensing Board held its first hearing on 14th March and tells me that it has so far received 213 applications for licences. I hope to be in a position to announce the name of the new chairman shortly.
