HC Deb 15 March 1961 vol 636 c120W
58. Mr. Fisher

asked the Minister of Transport what plans he has for the relief of traffic congestion on the King's Road, Putney Bridge and Putney High Street.

Mr. Hay

I do not think there is any problem of congestion on Putney Bridge itself. On the Putney side, we are considering making permanent, with minor adjustments, the experimental traffic measures introduced in the High Street and its vicinity in February, 1960. We are also investigating the possibilities of improving traffic flow on the roads on the Fulham side, including New King's Road.
