HC Deb 15 March 1961 vol 636 cc121-2W
62. Mr. Lindsay

asked the Postmaster-General how many post offices and sub-post offices there are in the borough of Solihull; how this compares with the average borough of 100,000 inhabitants; and when he expects that Solihull will get a new and larger head post office.

Miss Pike

Solihull has two Crown post offices and twenty-one sub-post offices, which compares not unfavourably with other boroughs of this size. We shall this year increase the size of the counter at the main office in Solihull, and we are hoping to replace this office altogether, by a new and larger one, by the end of 1964.
