§ Mr. Jacksonasked the President of the Board of Trade, since the investigation of the motor tyre distributive trade by the Restrictive Practices Court, and in view of its findings, what evidence he has that this trade is tending more towards monopolistic practice.
§ Mr. MaudlingI understand that the Registrar of Restrictive Trading Agreements has started proceedings in respect of two registered agreements relating to the sale of motor tyres, but that the hearings before the Restrictive Practices Court are unlikely to take place for some time. As these matters are at presentsub judice, it would be wrong for me to comment.
