HC Deb 14 March 1961 vol 636 cc100-1W
58. Mr. W. Hamilton

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he is aware that the provision of geriatric facilities in West Fife is much worse than the average provision in Scotland; and what steps are contemplated to remedy this situation.

Mr. Maclay

I am aware of the need for additional geriatric beds in West Fife. The regional hospital board has this matter under consideration now and I am hopeful that it will be able to increase the number of beds available within a reasonable time.
