asked the Parliamentary Secretary for Science what is the number of liaison officers in the Regional Information Service of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research.

In the two D.S.I.R. branch offices in Edinburgh and Cardiff there are five liaison officers. There are a further five in the four regional technical information centres at Birmingham, Cardiff, Manchester and Newcastle which are supported by grant from D.S.I.R.
