Mr. Hector Hughesasked the Lord Privy Seal if he is yet in a position to make a statement on the subjects discussed and the results achieved by the talks last week in Washington between representatives of the British and United States Governments about negotiating with the Soviet Government an agreement designed to ban nuclear tests.

§ Mr. HeathThe two delegations reviewed the issues still outstanding in the negotiations and found a close identity of views. Consultation at official level will continue with the aim of putting a fully agreed position before the Geneva Conference when it resumes on 21st March.
