HC Deb 09 March 1961 vol 636 c66W
70 and 71. Mr. Peart

asked the Parliamentary Secretary for Science (1) what are his proposals for improving the facilities of existing British seismological stations for which he is responsible;

(2) if he will give details of scientific personnel employed in his department's seismological stations at Aberdeen, Bids-ton, Cambridge, Durham. Edinburgh, Jersey, and Kew.

Mr. Freeth

All but two of the seismological stations referred to are the responsibility of universities and none of them is under the control of bodies for which my noble Friend is responsible. As regards the improvement of university facilities, I would refer the hon. Member to the Written Reply which I gave him on 2nd March.
