§ 68. Sir A. Hurdasked the Parliamentary Secretary for Science to what extent the Agricultural Research Council and the Agricultural Improvement Council sponsor research on wool production in Great Britain.
§ Mr. FreethThe Agricultural Research Council is undertaking or supporting research on wool quality and its inheritance, on the interpretation of wool types, on the mechanism of wool growth, and on the nutrition and breeding of sheep. The Agricultural Improvement Council is not responsible for any research, but the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food keeps records of the wool clip of all sheep involved in experiments at the Ministry's experimental farms.
