§ 29. Mr. Hector Hughesasked the Civil Lord of the Admiralty what orders have been issued to Her Majesty's ships regarding armed vessels seeking to interfere with British trawlers on the high seas.
§ Mr. C. Ian Orr-EwingTwo of Her Majesty's ships are at present patrolling outside twelve miles off Iceland. If the settlement with Iceland to which my right hon. Friend the Lord Privy Seal referred yesterday is ratified, the need for protection within the twelve-mile limit will not arise since our trawlers will be fishing there under agreed arrangements.
