asked the Postmaster-General if he will amend the Television Act, 1954, so that the provisions of Section 3 (1) requiring impartiality on controversial political and industrial issues in the broadcasts of programme companies also applies to publications owned and controlled by them.

No. This question of publications, which would affect both the B.B.C. and the I.T.A. as well as the programme companies, will no doubt need examination in the light of any recommendations the Pilkington Committee may make.
