§ Mr. SoamesSince the Food and Drugs Act, 1955, came into operation, proceedings relating to foodstuffs under Section 6 of the Act have been begun in 246 cases. Of these, 48 were withdrawn for various reasons. The prosecutions concerned a variety of foodstuffs and were related to misleading labels or advertisements.
