HC Deb 15 June 1961 vol 642 cc71-2W
74 and 75. Mr. Grimond

asked the Secretary of State for Commonwealth Relations (1) what representations he has made to the Canadian Government against their proposal to exclude Commonwealth ships from domestic trade in the Great Lakes;

(2) if he will represent to the Canadian Government that the British Commonwealth Merchant Shipping Agreement entitles all Commonwealth shipping to equal treatment on the Great Lakes.

Mr. Sandys

I would refer the hon. Member to the reply given yesterday by my right hon. Friend the Minister of Transport to the hon. Member for Glasgow, Govan (Mr. Rankin). I have nothing to add to that reply.
