Thomsonasked the Minister of Defence what arms have been supplied to South Africa since it became a Republic; and if he will give an assurance that no further arms will be supplied until the results of his present discussions on future defence relations with South Africa have been laid before the House.
§ Mr. WatkinsonIt has been the practice of successive Governments not to disclose information about arms supplied to other countries. I am not prepared to give any assurance about the supply of arms to South Africa.
