§ 54. Dame Irene Wardasked the Minister of Transport if he is aware of the recent failure of Messrs. Readhead's, of South Shields, under the chairmanship of Mr. Towers, to obtain a shipbuilding order, despite the fact that their tender was the lowest in the country, details of which have been sent to him by the hon. Member for Tynemouth; and if he will request the firm of Peat, 135W Marwick, Mitchell and Company to investigate the loss of this contract.
