§ 61. Mr. Jegerasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government and Minister for Welsh Affairs whether he is aware of the imminent building of several hundred new houses for a new mining community at Knottingley; and whether he will convene a conference of the appropriate bodies in order to ensure that all vital local services are adequate for their increased functions.
§ Mr. BrookeI am aware that the Knottingley Urban District Council has agreed to build 1,200 houses for miners over the next four years. But I have no reason to believe that any conference is required in order to ensure provision of the necessary local services.
