§ 71. Mr. Grimondasked the Lord Privy Seal if he has received any communication from the Government of Iraq over Kuwait; and what information he has as to whether the Kuwait frontier has been closed.
§ Mr. HeathThe only communication which we have received from the Government of Iraq on this subject was in the form of a circular Note, dated 26th June, to all diplomatic missions in Baghdad. The Note enclosed a statement setting out the alleged Iraqi claim to Kuwait. The text of these documents is being placed in the Library.
As far as I am aware the Kuwait frontier has not been closed.
