HC Deb 30 January 1961 vol 633 c90W
Mr. Dodds

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what is the present stock situation regarding potatoes; and what are the prospects for the next three months.

Mr. Vane:

The most recent information I have about potato stocks indicates that there will still be a sizeable surplus from the 1960 crop in spite of heavy losses due to bad weather during harvesting. The prospects over the next three months are of adequate supplies at reasonable prices but a good deal depends on the keeping quality of the crop.
