asked the Minister of Transport how many miles of motorways he proposes to construct in Wales during the next three years.

Mr. Marples:

The Port Talbot Bypass, 5½ miles long, is likely to be open to traffic about the end of this three-year period. In addition the 7-mile Newport Bypass should be well on the way to completion by then.
