asked the Minister of Aviation what approximate proportion of the cost of development of weapons such as Seaslugs is represented by actual work on the missile itself, as opposed to the whole guided-weapons system involved.

Mr. Rippon:

The proportion varies with the weapon. In the case of Seaslug. work on the missile represents about two-thirds of the total.
