asked the Minister of Labour how many unemployed were registered in Greenock and Port Glasgow at the latest convenient date; and what number had been continuously out of work for six weeks, three months, and six months and over, respectively.

Mr. Hare:

At 16th January, 3,578. The latest analysis of unemployment by duration is that for 12th December when, out of 3,485 wholly unemployed, 626 had been registered for over thirteen and up to twenty-six weeks, and 1,196 over twenty-six weeks.
