§ 58. Mr. Malcolm MacPhersonasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will make a further statement about university development in Scotland.
§ Sir E. BoyleI would refer the hon. Member to my right hon. and learned Friend's statement of 25th January about the new and substantially increased building programmes which he has now authorised for universities in Great 43W Britain. I am advised that, so far as can be foreseen at this time, these programmes should allow the Scottish universities and the Royal College of Science and Technology, Glasgow, to accommodate the increased numbers of students who will be coming forward in this decade.
