§ Mr. G. M. Thomsonasked the Secretary of State for Commonwealth Relations what facilities there are in each of the High Commission Territories for training nurses; and to what extent the qualifications are recognised in the United Kingdom.
§ Mr. SandysThere are facilities for training nurses in the High Commission Territories at three Government hospitals and six Mission hospitals. The qualifications obtained are not generally recognised in the United Kingdom, but applications from individual nurses for recognition are considered on their merits by the General Nursing Council.
