asked the Minister of Education what consultation he has had with schools and universities concerning science specialisation in school sixth forms.

This complex problem is being actively discussed with the schools, the professional associations, the universities, the Secondary School Examinations Council and the Examining Bodies. All are concerned to prevent premature and excessive specialisation in science as in other subjects.
