§ 59. Mr. Hunterasked the Minister of Transport if, in view of the number of road accidents and casualties in 1960, he will give details of road safety campaigns arranged for 1961 to promote safety on the roads.
§ Mr. MarplesMy Ministry and the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents, in co-operation, are making arrangements for a major campaign in 1961 designed to bring home to each road user his personal responsibility for road safety. The slogan for the campaign is "Be alive to others on the road".
