§ 78. Mr. Awberyasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government and Minister for Welsh Affairs if he will take steps further to assist local authorities to conserve water supplies so that the droughts experienced during the past few years may be avoided in the future.
§ Mr. BrookeA sub-committee of the Central Advisory Water Committee is at my request making an urgent study of the problem of water conservation. In the meantime water undertakings are substantially increasing their expenditure upon the development of new sources, in order to mitigate the effect of any future droughts.
