HC Deb 20 February 1961 vol 635 cc13-4W
81. Mr. K. Robinson

asked the Minister of Health if he will make a further statement about the failure to provide hospital accommodation for Peter David Hastings, a mentally sick man who was subsequently sentenced to five years' imprisonment.

Mr. Powell

I have every reason to think that suitable hospital accommodation was available if the doctor responsible had made due inquiry. The proper procedure is such cases is generally known.
