asked the Minister of Transport if he will state the number of passengers and drivers killed on the section of the A.5 and A.45 which M.1 was intended to relieve, during the twelve months prior to the opening of the M.1, and the numbers killed and injured on M.1, A.5, and A.45, during the twelve months following the opening of M.1.

The following are the figures:

18,000 breakdowns on the M.1, M.10 and M.45. There may have been additional breakdowns which were repaired without coming to the notice of the patrols.
