§ 92. Mr. Pentlandasked the Minister of Labour if he will state the total number of unemployed persons, giving adults and juveniles separately, in the County of Durham at the last available date; and how many of these have been unemployed for three months, six months, one year or more, respectively.
§ Mr. HareAt 16th January, the number unemployed was 20,562 consisting of 18,936 adults and 1,626 young persons. The latest analysis of unemployment by duration is that for 12th December, 1960, when 2,967 had been unemployed for over three and up to six months, 2,197 for over six months and up to one year. and 4.107 for over one year.
