§ Mr. Denzil FreethThe Medical Research Council is continuing its wide programme of research on the relation of air pollution, including that from diesel and solid fuel fumes, to diseases such as lung cancer. Investigations suggest that air pollution in general is associated with lung cancer, but a causal relationship has not been established.
