§ 83. Mr. Grimondasked the Secretary of State for Commonwealth Relations if he will propose a Commonwealth scheme for the supply on loan of university and other teachers and technicians to Commonwealth countries who require them.
§ Mr. Sandys:A scheme of this kind for teachers was recommended by the Commonwealth Education Conference in 1959 and is being implemented by Britain and other Commonwealth countries. The Colombo Plan and other technical assistance schemes provide for the supply on loan of technicians.
