§ 98. Mr. C. Hughesasked the Minister of Education if he will state the capital cost of the major works building programmes for 1960 to 1962 submitted by 173W local education authorities in Wales; and what sum he has approved.
§ Sir D. Eccles:Local education authorities in Wales submitted proposals for schools costing £7. 5 million for the year 1960–61 and £5. 85 million for 1961–62. The approved programmes for these years amount to £2. 5 million and £3 million. The total of £5. 5 million is higher than for any previous two years.
