§ 104. Mr. Nabarroasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what aggregate diminution of Purchase Tax revenue he estimates will result from the fact that there are almost 200,000 unsold motor cars normally purchase-taxed at 50 per cent., and almost 800,000 unsold television sets normally purchase-taxed also at 50 per cent., in the current financial year 1960–61.
§ Mr. Barber:I regret that it is not possible to make any estimate of this sort which would be realistic.
