HC Deb 15 February 1961 vol 634 c144W
34. Mr. Fletcher-Cooke

asked the Minister of Labour if he has yet considered the report on the strike of tally clerks, a copy of which has been sent to him by the hon. and learned Member for Darwen.

Mr. Hare:

Yes. This report emphasises the importance of the issues involved in the strike. It supplements the Report of the Committee which I appointed under the Chairmanship of Mr. Lloyd-Williams. The Lloyd-Williams Committee made recommendations to assist in preventing a recurrence of the recent troubles and to improve the efficiency of the port. The National Dock Labour Board and others concerned are giving urgent consideration to these recommendations.
