HC Deb 15 February 1961 vol 634 c141W
5 and 6. Mr. Kitson

asked the Postmaster-General (1) how many telephone kiosks are without any form of lighting;

(2) how many unlit telephone kiosks there are in the North Riding.

Mr. Bevins:

Just under 4,000. The number is being steadily reduced: it is 2,000 less than it was five years ago.

There are forty-eight unlit kiosks in the North Riding.
