§ Sir A. Spearmanasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will initiate consultations with other member Governments with a view to accepting the full provisions of Article VIII of the Articles of Agreement of the International Monetary Fund.
§ Mr. Selwyn Lloyd:Discussions on this subject have already taken place, and the United Kingdom is today notifying the International Monetary Fund that it accepts the provisions of Article VIII of tht Agreement as from today. Similar notifications are being made by Belgium, France, the Federal Republic of Germany, the Irish Republic, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands. Peru and Sweden.
