52. Mr. Hector Hughes

asked the Minister of Transport how far the capital development plans for the electrification of British Railways in Scotland have been developed and extended during the last six months; and if he will specify the districts affected.

Mr. Marples:

During the past six months I have received no proposals from the British Transport Commission involving the development or extension of its plans for capital expenditure on railway electrification in Scotland. The Commission informs me that it has no such changes in mind at present.
