HC Deb 13 February 1961 vol 634 c119W
54. Mr. Peart

asked the Parliamentary Secretary for Science what progress is being made with the Government's proposals to further meat research.

Mr. Denzil Freeth:

The main proposals are still under consideration, but arrangements have been made for the establishment of a small laboratory in association with an abattoir near Cambridge, at which the work done at the Low Temperature Research Station and elsewhere can be continued and expanded.
