Mr. Watkins

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food how many applications have been received, at the most recent date, for grants in each of the counties in Wales under the Horticulture Act, 1960; and how many have been allowed.

Mr. Soames:

The following table gives details of the applications received from horticultural production businesses in Wales and Monmouthshire up to 31st December, 1960. At that date no applications had been received from horticultural producers' marketing businesses which are also eligible for grants under the Act.
