HC Deb 09 February 1961 vol 634 c85W
93. Mr. G. Thomas

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what methods are used by the Metropolitan Police to obtain evidence against licensed premises and clubs suspected of selling alcoholic drinks to people under age.

Mr. R. A. Butler:

Observation is kept by uniform and plain clothes Metropolitan Police officers in licensed premises and clubs in which breaches of the law are suspected. The age limits applying to public houses do not apply to clubs.
