§ 31. Mr. J. Hyndasked the Lord Privy Seal following upon the recommendation on the co-ordination of European energy policy of the Western European Union Assembly, and the subsequent pronouncements of the High Authority and of the European Economic Community Commission thereon, what steps Her Majesty's Government will take towards securing the implementation of the said recommendation.
§ Mr. Heath:Pending a solution of the wider European problem, Her Majesty's Government welcome any opportunities to work more closely with the Six. We already collaborate with the High Authority in the Energy Working Party of the Council of Association's Coal Committee. We participate fully in the work on energy of the Organisation for European Economic Co-operation which brings in countries outside the Western European Union as well as representatives of the European Communities.
