§ 73. Sir B. Jannerasked the Minister of Transport whether he is aware that there is growing concern about the cutting down of facilities for rail travel to and from Leicester and the smaller towns and villages in the adjoining areas; and whether he will refer the curtailment of such facilities and the need to provide alternative means of transport to the appropriate Transport Users' Consultative Committee.
§ Mr. Marples:It is always open to users of the Commission's services to make representations to the appropriate Transport Users' Consultative Committees. Furthermore the British Transport Commission refer all proposed closures of facilities to those Committees, who take into account what alternative services are available.
