§ 67. Mr. Cooperasked the Minister of Transport if, bearing in mind the number of accidents occurring at the junction of Becontree Avenue and Bennetts Castle Lane, Ilford, it is his intention to install traffic signals at this junction.
§ Mr. Hay:I would refer my hon. Friend to the Answer given to the hon. Member for Dagenham on 1st February. Since the figures I then gave were compiled, there has been one more fatal accident. In our view, the right course is to alter the junction layout in the way we have suggested to the highway authority.
