§ Mr. de Ferrantiasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what has been the average value of investment, per man employed, undertaken during each of the last ten years by the nationalised industries and by private industry, respectively; and to what extent production, per man, has increased over the same period in each of these two sectors of the economy.
§ Mr. Barber:Figures of average investment per person employed, at constant 1954 prices, are given in the table below. I regret that it is not possible, with the data available, to give corresponding figures of production per man.
