§ 82. Mr. Stan Awberyasked the Civil Lord of the Admiralty to give an assurance that redundant non-industrial workers, transferred to Messrs. C. H. Bailey, Malta, in 1958, will be transferred back to the Admiralty.
§ Mr. C. Ian Orr-Ewing:Non-industrial employees now on loan to Baileys will be considered for retention in Admiralty employment on a basis of equality with those who have continued in the direct employment of the Admiralty. As has recently been explained to the staff associations concerned, however, there will inevitably be some redundancy, either of the men on loan themselves or of un-established or junior men now in the naval base. Details are now being worked out.
