§ Mr. RentonThe latest available figures show that the Metropolitan Police have received 22 complaints of wilful damage to minicabs and 21 complaints of assault of minicab drivers. Only in one case did the police have sufficient evidence on which to base a prosecution for either assault or wilful damage. In two other cases prosecutions have been instituted on other grounds.
