HL Deb 20 December 1961 vol 236 cc822-3WA
LORD MANCROFT

asked Her Majesty's Government:

For what reasons, when, and by whom, Mr. Frederic Dighton, a guard employed by Messrs. Glyn, Mills & Company, Ltd., in London, was granted permission to own a 22 revolver.

EARL BATHURST

I am informed by the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis that since 16th January, 1958, Mr. Dighton has held a firearm certificate authorising him to carry a firearm belonging to the firm by whom he is employed whilst he is engaged upon duties in connection with the transit of bullion at the direction of the firm. Mr. Dighton has no permission to own a revolver.
