Mr. VanePoultry-keepers within half a mile of an outbreak are visited and the movement of poultry within that area is restricted for at least 28 days.
Where there are a number of outbreaks, the restrictions may be applied to a wider area. Notice is then given through the Press and the B.B.C. I am satisfied that the present arrangements give a good measure of control.
